Winter People are a post-rock folk band from Sydney, Australia who define their aesthetic as: "Nostalgia for the past, hope for the revolution".The band wanted their online identity to reflect the themes of their music.
I chose postcards and letters to represent peripatetic travel and old world modes of communication, incorporated into a textured antique look.

Bluestreet Design was created as part of a personal project to grow my design skill set. This was the homepage from a fictional design company that had user friendliness and usability as its primary message.
This design focused on simplicity and concision, to communicate as clearly as possible the company's core message and services.

Arranger, producer, instrumentalist and vocalist Jonti is the first ever Australian signing to Stones Throw Records in the US.
This logo was developed from a hand drawing of Jonti's, embellished with the same sort of playful collage that characterises his music

Rainstreet Records is home to six recording artists, each of whom operate in quite varied musical genres. To accommodate this stylistic variety, I went for a minimal chic look for the site.
I was responsible for the complete identity of Rainstreet Records, from logo and branding, to interface and site development.

"Wishingbone" was the first single released by Australian band Winter People. The band wanted an arresting imagery for the song's artwork.
The album the single was taken from was called: "A Year At Sea". I combined this oceanic theme, with the image of failed flight for this artwork.

Underpar is Australia's No# 1 wholesaler of golf bags and buggies. They were unhappy with their existing website and engaged me to re-design and re-build their online presence.
With a wide breadth of product lines, I was meticulous in planning the information architecture for this project. For efficient navigation I designed large-scale dropdown menus for site-wide access to Underpar's full range of products.
When you talk to Blue Ribbon you talk to the folks who actually create your project.
Our projects are carefully planned to run on budget and on time.
Our philosophy of design is simplicity & cohesion, to let your brand message speak.
We take pride in perfecting our designs down to the very last pixel.
We're standards based, so we build things to work now, and in the future.
Our focus is on user experience: intuitive, enjoyable, communicative.
A successful project sets out clear goals from the outset. Through a collaborative discussion, the first step is to define exactly what the aims of your project are, what are the core messages that you want to communicate and who it is being directed at. With the project goals in mind, an umbrella strategy is developed to guide the rest of the process.
With the needs and scope of the project defined, we will deliver a comprehensive proposal detailing the project scope, a quote broken down by phases and a clear timeline of when and what to expect in the process. .
The project's raw content is then gathered. Guided by our strategy, this content is grouped and arranged into meaningful blocks. These form the basis of the project's information architecture: wireframes detailing a map of the project.
With wireframes in hand we design a user interface by scrutinising the inner relations of the content. We rank and arrange content relative to its importance in communicating your strategy. By defining this hierarchy, the content is tuned to most effectively convey the brand message.
With our hierarchical guide in place, the visual design is created. The aesthetic aims to capture the essence of the brand, provide an intuitive and pleasurable user experience, while simply and effectively communicating your message.
Fine tuning the aesthetic tone and visual cohesion is vital for capturing a project's audience. So we take the time to invent, refine, recreate and push and pull our designs until we've ensured that they are pixel perfect.
Now the polished design is brought to life. We build on a standards-based paradigm, for functionality and compatibility across platforms, now and in the future.
Once the project is fully functional, we test and re-test it thoroughly to ensure a smooth user experience from launch.
And finally we hand over the project, crack the champagne and launch!
